Bicol cops bag 11 wanted persons on Monday

LEGAZPI CITY, Oct. 20 (PNA) -– Different units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bicol regional office arrested 11 persons on Monday alone, a report released by the office of Chief Supt. Augusto Marquez Jr., PNP Bicol regional director, said Tuesday.

Arrested were Allen V. Cariňo, Arthur B. Cao, Rodolfo P. Tena, Gary C. Comprado, Tomas S. Parumog, Gloria S. Banico, Raymart S. Banico, Christopher S. Avellana, Reynaldo D. Villanueva, Elmario M. Prado and Domingo C. Maraño Jr

Cariňo was apprehended in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Ligao City by virtue of a warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Judge Annielyn B. Medes-Cabelis of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12, Ligao City, dated Oct 6, 2015, for estafa docketed under CC Nos. 6638 and 6639 with PHP25,000 bail recommended each case.

Personnel of Tiwi Municipal Police Station (MPS) collared Cao in Barangay Tigbi, Tiwi, Albay on the strength of a WOA issued by Samuel A. Buendia, presiding judge of MCTC Tiwi-Malinao, Albay, docketed under CC No. M-5502 for attempted homicide with PHP12,000 bail recommended.

He was released from the custody of the Tiwi MPS after posting bail.

Tena, 75, cornered on Monday afternoon at Barangay Peñafrancia, Naga City, was accused of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and ordered arrested by Nonna Oliva-Beltran, presiding judge of MTC Branch 1, 5th Judicial Region, Naga City, with PHP10,000 bail.

Comprado was collared, also on Monday afternoon, at Barangay Peñafrancia, Naga City for a pending case at the sala of Beltran with PHP5,000 bail recommended.

For violation of Sec. 77 of P.D. 705 docketed as CC No. T-2244 and by virtue of WOA issued by Judge Angela A. Arroyo, police handcuffed Parumog at Barangay Boclod, San Jose, Camarines Sur.

On Monday morning, police took in the two Banicos at Barangay San Ramon, Lupi, Camarines Sur for violation of Section 20 (f) and (a) of RA 7586 with PHP12,000 bail each.

Avellana and Villanueva were captured at Barangay 7, Mercedes, Camarines Norte on order of Judge Victoria C. Dino-Reyes of MTC Mercedes, Camarines Norte for violation of PD 1602 docketed under CC No. 15-5752.

Mercedes MPS officers arrested Prado in Barangay San Roque, Mercedes, Camarines Norte by virtue of a WOA issued by the same judge for violation of PD 1602.

Maraño was apprehended at Sitio Tabuan, Barangay Maulawin, Camarines Norte by Sta. Elena MPS members on order of Judge Roberto A. Escaro of RTC Branch 64-Labo, Camaraines Norte for two counts of rape in relation to RA 7610. (PNA) FFC/FGS/EMC/CBD
