DAET, Camarines Norte, April 22 (PIA) -- Some 200 youth and children joined the 17th Summer Workshops in Camarines Norte spearheaded by the Provincial Museum Archives and Shrine Curation Division of the provincial government starting Monday, April 20.

The activity aims to nurture the inborn talents of the youth and children around the province through different workshops.

The participants who have joined the said activity are from ages 7 and above coming from different towns of the province.

The Charcoal Painting and Dance Sports Workshops are being held since April 20 until April 24.

On April 27 to May 1 there will be an Acrylic & Oil Painting Workshop along with the Flute Workshop wherein interested teachers and other professionals may join.

Meanwhile the Folkdance Workshop will be on May 4-8 while Theater Arts and Guitar Workshops on May 11-15.

To culminate the activity, there will be a Showcasing of Talents and Visual Arts Exhibits on May 17.

Abel Icatlo, provincial museum curator said that this will also cultivate the innate talents and interpersonal relationships of the youth and children and will likewise provide them with values that will shape them into a better person.

Icatlo added that the said program is being patronized by the children and parents in order to divert participants attention to a more meaningful recreation while spending their time on vacation rather than to focus on gadgets and technology. (MAL/RBM/KNR/PIA5/CamNorte)
