Amidst the Dinagyang Festival revelries in Iloilo, Let’s Fiesta host John Feir, together with celebrity guest Steven Silva, travel to the northern end of the so-called City of Love to discover a secret paradise.
Unknown to many, this side of the province cradles a group of mystical islands called Isla de Gigantes. It is Iloilo’s well-kept natural wonder teeming with white sand beaches, exotic lagoons, and lush greenery. It is a destination elusive to tourists but visiting this place is surely worth the trip.
Located off the coast of the towns of Estancia and Carles, Isla de Gigantes can be reached via a three-hour drive from Iloilo City. This side of the province is one of the biggest producers of fish products in Western Visayas as it is facing the Visayan Sea Triangle where a large concentration of marine resources thrives.
To learn more about this industry, John and Steven visit Estancia Port and immerse in its operations from fishing boats to the market. Will they survive such tedious job?
Find out the answer in Let’s Fiesta this Sunday, February 8, airing at 7:00 am, in all nine GMA regional stations in Ilocos, Bicol, Dagupan, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Davao, GenSan, and Cagayan de Oro.
