In a recent event in realm of the arts and the spiritual, a photo exhibit was organized in honor of Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, and held at the SM Naga City last October 21-23, 2011.
Rev. Msgr. Rodel Cajot, Rector of the Basilica Minore de Peñafrancia, and Rev. Fr. Louie Occiano, Director of the Caceres Commission on Communications, attended the ribbon cutting ceremony held at five-thirty in the afternoon of October 21.
Entitled "Ritrato ni Ina", the said exhibit showcased photos taken during the recent Peñafrancia celebration, following the devotees' story from the Traslacion to the Fluvial procession.
Photos of the Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair, Dawn and Perdon Processions were also included in the said exhibit. Apart from the main events that highlighted the festive occasion, photos that captured the expressions of love and faith to Ina as a faithful devotee, voyador or as a pilgrim, were frills that only made the Bicolanos' relentless devotion to Ina stand out.
According to Rev. Fr. Louie Occiano, "The exhibit was shown to perpetuate and celebrate thanksgiving."
Although some photos remained anonymous, most came from featured photographers and exhibitors that included Mr. Jojo Dy-Prieto and Mr. Nickson Crescini, as well as Ms. Abea Abion, Mr. Dennis Caramoan, Mr. Eli Casim, Mr. Patrick Encinareal, Mr. Eddie Labao, Mr. Bobby Labao II, Mr. Corky Lim, Mr. Joel Noora, Mr. Neil Peñaflor, Mr. Roje Semblante, and Dr. Diosdado Uy. The event was organized and sponsored by the Peñafrancia Young Professionals, the Peñafrancia Camera Club, Rotary Club of Naga, AET Ads, EPSON, Hypertech Computers and SM Naga City.
The "Ritrato ni Ina" was not only an excellent way to commemorate the closing ceremony of the Tercentenary Celebration of the devotion to Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia; but was also an apt reminder to devotees that their devotion to Ina is not only seasonal activity but a spiritual journey of a lifetime.
