LGU Naga to file cases against two PNP Officials

Naga City – The local government of this city is set to file cases against Police Senior Superintendents Bal Tira, OIC PNP Regional Director for Bikol and Romeo Tambungui, Camarines Sur PNP Provincial Director. This is in connection with the perceived unwarranted relieve of 14 organic member of Naga City Police Office.

18th Philippine Catholic Congress on Deafness set in Bikol

The 18th Philippine Catholic Congress on Deafness (PCCD) will be held at the Pili, Capitol Convention Centre on November 23-26 with the theme “WE CARE: Creating an Enabling & Inclusive Environment for the Deaf.” Initiated in 1989 by Fr. Luke Mootgard, the Executive Secretary of the Health and Handicap Committee of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines then, the annual Philippine Catholic Congress on Deafness is a gathering where insights and stories of the delegates are shared with other members of deaf organizations coming from the entire country.

Rains and floods cause P 13.1 million in damages

Pili, Camarines Sur – About P13.1 Million in aqua-culture damages to government fishery facilities and privately operated fish ponds was declared by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) regional office in Bikol, as a result of heavy rains and flooding in this region since October 27, this year.

Parts of Baao still flooded; LGUs act to lower NFA rice prices

Because of the heavy, constant rain, several municipalities became submerged in floodwaters in this province. In the town of Baao, several barangays became inundated after Baao Lake overflowed its banks. Barangays Eulalia, San Francisco, and San Jose in Baao were still inundated as of presstime.

CWC hosts 3rd Philippine cable wakeboard nationals

The Camarines Sur Watersports Complex (CWC) and the provincial government of Camarines Sur are once again gearing up the final preparations for the hosting for the 3rd straight year the Philippine Cable Wakeboard Nationals on March 27-30, 2008 wherein nationally ranked wakeboarders will see action and compete for fame, prizes, and possibly, extreme sports glory as well as international recognition.
