Calabanga, Camarines Sur--Agriculture Secretary Arthur C. Yap urged the over 220 graduates of the Camarines Sur State Agricultural College (CSSAC) here to keep alive the entrepreneurial spirit and to be job generators, engaging in any enterprise in line with their field. He urged the graduates never to stop learning, find their own niche, be always cheerful and to always keep faith in God.
The mall is expected to generate substantial revenue for the city in the form of taxes, he adds.
SORSOGON CITY, April 3 (PNA) – The Philippine Army (PA) conducting anti-insurgency activities in Sorsogon, a highly communist rebel-infested province southeast of Luzon, has accused the New People’s Army (NPA) of killing a 37-year-old widow human rights activist here. The Celso Minguez Command (CMC), the local unit of the NPA operating in the area, on the other hand, said in press statement that the death squad of the PA was behind the assassination.

LEGAZPI CITY, April 2 (PNA) -- Suspected communist rebels ambushed and killed three Philippine Army (PA) soldiers, while two others were injured on Wednesday in Ragay, Camarines Sur. An Army official today identified those killed as Army Cpl. James Caronan, Pfc. Noel Bagao, and Pfc. Rolly Caitor.
Daet, Camarines Norte. The DENR – Camarines Norte launched the “20 Million Seedling Production Program- Tree for Life Project” Urban Parks/ Areas Mass Planting at Brgy. Bibirao, Daet last November 14. The DENR – Camarines Norte was the host province for the Regional Launching of the Urban Areas Mass Tree Planting. Participants from different NGOs, private and government agencies, academe and LGUs within the province composed of 1,257 planters simultaneously planted some 7,423 seedlings of Narra and caballero in their respective urban parks/ areas.

Naga City – Several Punong Barangay candidates and kagawads supported by Mayor Jesse Robredo were defeated during the recently concluded October 29 elections. Four of Robredo’s supported candidates as Punong barangay lost to their opponents while some of his incumbents who ran as kagawads were defeated by a large margin of votes.
NAGA CITY (Nov. 16) – Police investigators here are nearing the completion of their investigation into the fatal Jollibee Panganiban robbery two weeks ago. Metrobank security guard Rowenel Gavarra died from multiple gunshot wounds after being shot by the armed suspects. The fast-food chain's security guard, Joey Robarios, was also shot but survived the incident. Gavarra was with an employee of Metrobank, picking up around Php 212,000 in cash from the said establishment. The eight robbers were able to escape with the money by motorcycle.
