Iriga City ---   Even before flying off to Chicago to attend the First International Grand Alumni Homecoming last July, the UNEP community already extended its congratulations to Ms. Conchita Albino-Ibarondo, chosen by Metrobank Foundation as one of this year's Outstanding Teachers of the Philippines.

Atty. Remelisa Alfelor-Moraleda, UNEP President, said the university took pride in her achievement being one of the university's alumnae who, up to now, continuous to give credence to the university's battle cry of promoting quality education.

Naga City (11 June) -- Determined in its campaign to run after tax evaders, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) here has ordered the closure of one business establishment for failing to declare its real income and warned others which continue to defy payment of appropriate taxes to the government.

RDO 65 Revenue District Officer Socorro La Fuente, along with BIR Regional Director Atty. Diosdado Mendoza, recently led the implementation of closure order to Triboo Grill located at Mayon Avenue here as part of the BIR's OPLAN KANDADO campaign.

Naga City ---- Our Lady of Peñafrancia Pilgrimage Foundation and the Tercentenary Cultural Committee, together with  People, Events, Promotion and Styles (PEPS UP), launched the first ever exhibit showcasing Our Lady of Peñafrancia's miraculous capes, adoringly called manto by its devotees.

Naga City (13 May) -- Still working wonders, the "Ubos kung Ubos, Gabos kung Gabos" election battle cry of Naga City pertaining to a landslide win of the administration's candidates, now dubbed as "Team Naga" made waves again and is now a phenomenal part of this city's political history.

This after the entire Team Naga, headed by its winning tandem, Naga's mayoralty bet Atty. John Bongat and Vice Mayor Gabriel Hidalgo Bordado, along with the full line up of their city councilors were officially declared as winners by Atty. Cinderella Lozano, Naga City Comelec Supervisor in a simple proclamation rite at City Hall last May 11.

With the regular summer vacation soon drawing to a halt, the University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP), is now inviting enrollees who intend to receive a teaching certificate after completing their review for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) this vacation.

In line with this, the university is now in full swing accepting interested enrollees who wish to take part in the LET review being spearheaded by UNEP's College of Education.  UNEP is offering 18 units of learning package to non-education graduate.

Eight students from the University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) joined more than a hundred delegates from 21 schools and universities in the recently concluded 10th Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference, held at Villa Mila Garden Resort, Daet, Camarines Norte.

The occasion was spearheaded by the Bicol Association of Tertiary Press Advisers, Bicol Association of Student Campus Writers and Commission on Higher Education and was sponsored by the Bicol Association of Tertiary Press Advisers.  Mabini Colleges was this year's host school for the said event.
