This Sunday on GMA News TV, National Geographic Channel's Freaks of the
Sea takes us deep into the oceans of our planet, where creatures weirder
than our wildest dreams or our scariest nightmares lurk.

Multi award-winning underwater cameramen John Boyle and renowned Red Sea
specialist John McIntyre have collaborated to produce this wide ranging
blue-chip television special, filmed over several years, portraying some
of the strangest underwater creatures from every corner of the planet.

GMA Network's latest child-friendly TV fare, HOME SWEET HOME, is off to
a promising start after garnering high numbers during its pilot week.

According to data from the industry's widely trusted ratings service
provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, Home Sweet Home ruled its
timeslot not only in viewer-rich Mega Manila but also in Urban Luzon.

Based on household data recorded in Urban Luzon, which comprises 76.4
percent of urban TV household population in the country, from April 22
to April 26, 2013 (based on overnight readings), the series registered
32.1 percent household shares, versus ABS-CBN's Little Champ's 26.3
percent.

Kapuso homegrown talent Rocco Nacino earned positive feedback from viewers for his portrayal of Mayor Joseph Santiago – a fictional, newly elected mayor fighting a political dynasty, corruption, and bureaucracy to implement good governance in his town – on GMA News TV’s first original six-part dramatic mini-series “Bayan Ko.”

Directed by multi-awarded independent film director Adolfo Alix Jr., “Bayan Ko” launched last March 10 and was also cited because of its film-like quality, as it was shot on high definition Canon cameras and is the first GMA News TV program to go through the color grading process.
