The sinking of the Titanic is the most famous maritime disaster in history and continues to fascinate as its 100th anniversary approaches. GMA News TV presents Inside The Titanic -- a big budget docudrama which weaves together both scientific and very personal accounts of the tragedy. It shows how a handful of decisions in the moments after the Titanic sideswiped an iceberg, pushed the great ship' s situation from grave to doomed ... resulting in the massacre of 1573 passengers and crew.

Everybody on board was fooled by the water, a devious and unstoppable killer. Sometimes it crept unseen, at other times it roared. One minute it was hidden, the next it was everywhere.

Tween stars Joshua Dionisio and Barbie Forteza, whose loveteam is fondly called by their fans as "JoshBie", will star in this Saturday's episode of GMA-7's Spooky Nights.

Joining the two in the said episode titled "Spooky Nights presents Kalansay"are Joyce Ching, Renz Valerio, Jace Flores, Jan Marini, Tiya Pusit and Onyok Velasco.

In the said episode, Joshua Dionisio plays the role of Anton, a playful teen who - together with his friend Sherwin (Renz Valerio) -- always pull pranks on the latter's elder sister Cheska (Barbie Forteza).

Leading local multimedia company GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) dominated the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) ratings last March based on figures furnished by broadcast industry’s more trusted ratings source Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

For the period March 1 to 31 (March 25 to 31 based on overnight ratings), GMA scored an average household share of 35.1 points in NUTAM, notably higher than ABS-CBN’s 31.3 points by 3.8 points and TV5’s 14.6 points by 20.5 points.

GMA Network presents a special Lenten programming schedule on Maundy Thursday (April 5), Good Friday (April 6) and Black Saturday (April 7).

Maundy Thursday opens with the strip of kids cartoon treats including the all-time favorite "Tom and Jerry" at 8am; followed by "Jackie Chan Adventures" at 8:30am; "Mojacko" at 9am; "Slamdunk" at 9:30am; and "One Piece" at 10am.

The Kapuso Network will treat its loyal viewers with a slate of blockbuster Filipino movies beginning with "One True Love," starring the phenomenal love team of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera at 1030am, followed by the 2004 Nora Aunor starrer "Naglalayag" at 1230pm and Cesar Montano's critically-acclaimed film "Muro Ami" at 230pm. This will be followed by the fourth installment of CBN Asia's telemovie "Tanikala" at 5pm and "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" at 6pm. The romantic flick of Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin in "The Promise" follows at 7pm.

Topnotch broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez recently renewed his exclusive contract with broadcast company GMA Network. Enriquez anchors the Network’s banner newscast 24 Oras and hosts the weekend primetime public affairs show Imbestigador on GMA Channel 7. He also anchors the weekday early morning radio program Saksi sa Dobol B that is simulcast over GMA’s flagship AM radio station DZBB 594 khz and the Network’s all-news channel GMA News TV Channel 11. GMA Network adds “traditional” drama to its portfolio of aces in the continuing race for dominance in the local television ratings.  This claim is backed by the Kapuso Network’s strong performance in its drama-filled Afternoon Prime block, which runs weekdays from 2:30pm to 6:30pm.

As of March 16, data from the more trusted ratings data provider Nielsen Television Audience Measurement (Nielsen TAM) show that GMA’s Afternoon Prime was a leader in the National Urban Philippines (NUTAM) from the beginning of the year with an average household rating of 14.6 pts. and an average audience share of 36.9%.  ABS-CBN, on the other hand, got an average household rating of 10.9 pts and an audience share of 27.5%.  Lagging further behind is TV5 with an average household rating of 6.6 pts and an audience share of 16.8%.
